Connect a Shopify store

Install TrackVerity, enable storefront tracking, and connect your first ad channel.

Before you begin

You need Shopify admin access and the store's permanent myshopify.com domain. TrackVerity uses a private custom-distribution app, not a public Shopify App Store listing.

Install TrackVerity

  1. In TrackVerity, select Add store and choose Shopify.
  2. Enter the myshopify.com domain and select Install on Shopify.
  3. Approve the installation in Shopify.
  4. Return to TrackVerity. The required order webhooks are registered automatically.

Enable storefront tracking

  1. Open Shopify's theme editor.
  2. Go to App embeds and turn on TrackVerity Tracking.
  3. Select Save, then open the storefront in a new tab.
  4. Return to TrackVerity and confirm that the tracking step is green.

Add an ad channel

Open the store in TrackVerity. Choose the Meta, TikTok, or Google Ads card and select Add Pixel. Follow the matching help article for the exact credentials.

Manual fallback

A manual Shopify connection remains available if the guided install cannot be used. It requires the TrackVerity storefront script, five Shopify webhooks, and Shopify's webhook signing secret. Use the signing secret shown under Shopify Notifications and Webhooks. Do not use a custom app API secret.

Avoid duplicate purchases

If Shopify's Facebook and Instagram channel uses Maximum data sharing, change it to Standard before relying on TrackVerity server Purchase events. Place one controlled order and verify the final event count in Meta Events Manager.
